The Boy Scouts announced that they are allowing girls to join their organization starting next year, yet those hoping for quid pro quo are sure to be disappointed, as the Girl Scouts won’t let boys in. Continuing a massive shift in tradition at the century-old institution, which now accepts openly gay and transgender boys, the Boy Scouts have opened their ranks to the opposite sex. You may think that the Girl Scouts would send a nod of appreciation for this. Think again. From ZeroHedge:
Following the somewhat stunning ‘grand virtue signaling’ decision by the Boy Scouts of America to allow girls to join the ranks of its Cub Scout program, as well as create a Scouting program for older girls, the Girl Scouts of the USA has issued a blistering rebuke.
“The Boy Scouts’ house is on fire,” Girl Scouts told ABC News in a statement today.
Girl Scouts told ABC News in a statement today. “Instead of addressing systemic issues of continuing sexual assault, financial mismanagement and deficient programming, BSA’s senior management wants to add an accelerant to the house fire by recruiting girls.”
There are a few lessons to be learned from this. Virtue-signalling from men is never seen by feminists as a noble gesture. Most times, it only arouses their contempt. In this example, the Girl Scouts used this announcement to throw salt at of the Boy Scouts of America, who have seen their membership numbers dwindle from their peak in the 1960’s, the same decade as the beginning of Second-Wave Feminism.
The Girl Scouts initially responded Wednesday to the Boy Scouts’ decision with a blog post citing what it said is the power of the “single-gender environment.”
“We believe strongly in the importance of the all-girl, girl-led, and girl-friendly environment that Girl Scouts provides, which creates a free space for girls to learn and thrive.”
In 2017 America, there are very few free spaces where young men can ‘learn and thrive’ in strictly male company. Traditional men’s clubs have all but been eradicated by laws that force the admission of women upon them. Men have limited places where they can be advised by men, in an environment free from intervention by the opposite sex. Isn’t it terribly ironic that all-male organizations like the Boy Scouts are opening their doors to girls and yet the Girl Scouts won’t let boys in. As I’ve mentioned before here, feminists look for a good time, primarily enjoyed by men and seek to ruin it for everyone. Even boys are not exempt from Creeping Feminism.
