Professional Social Justice Warriors and basketball players LeBron James and Kevin Durant went on an Uber ride with ESPN’s Cari Champion. You’re not going to believe this but some gratuitous Trump-bashing ensued. Here is the clip of LeBron James and Kevin Durant attempting to out-retard each other:
The highlight (for me anyway) was listening to the quotes from these two, highly articulate gentlemen regarding the verbal dialogue from President Trump. Dear God, somebody get me a translator, I don’t speak entitled…
“The No. 1 job in America, the appointed person is someone who doesn’t understand the people. And really don’t give a f–k about the people. When I was growing up, there was like three jobs that you looked [up to] for inspiration. It was the president of the United States, it was whoever was best in sports and it was the greatest musician. You never thought you could be them, but you can grab inspiration [from them]. -LeBron James
Okay, aside from the fact that this quote is just bursting with shitty grammar, I have a few problems with his position. President Trump does understand the people. But White people aren’t LeBron James kind of ‘people.’ Given the resentment that he harbors against White Americans, this really should surprise no one. And so we’re clear, ‘whoever was best in sports’ and ‘greatest musician’ really aren’t fucking jobs at all.
But Kevin Durant wasn’t content to simply let LeBron leave the vehicle as the least intelligible athlete inside:
“When we’re talking about leadership, and what’s going on in our country, it’s all about leadership,” Durant said.
Well, if we’re talking about “leadership,” I mean, it only makes sense that it’s all about leadersh.. Ah, fuck it. Go on, Kevin;
“And I learned that from basketball. I learned a lot of life skills from playing basketball. You need to empower people, you need to encourage people. And that’s what builds a great team. And I feel like our team as a country is not ran by a great coach.”
The country believes very differently from Kevin’s team, and thank God for that. I can sum up Kevin Durant’s “leadership” experience in basketball in one sentence. When the going gets tough, you peace the fuck out and join the team with the most wins in the league. You can argue all day if it was a wise career decision or a bitch move, but for Durant, and for LeBron who may very well join the Warriors himself next year, it is indicative of their entitled mentality.
White Americans have become disgusted with pro-athletes who see fit to shove liberal ideologies in their fans faces using their media platform. The NFL suffered a drastic loss in viewers and fans due to this trend. As Lebron James and Kevin Durant attempted to out-retard each other, I believe that we will soon see a fan exodus from NBA arenas as a result of entitled athletes forgetting that we are amazed by their exploits on the court, and (perhaps their stunning lack of verbal comprehension) could care less about their opinions on off the court topics.
