“Seeking Peace Through Violence” How CNN Made Sickening Excuses For Antifa
CNN continues to lead the charge as a poster child for “news organizations” that are simply mouthpieces for the increasingly far-reaching members of the left. As ZeroHedge reports, CNN ran a piece on Friday with the initial headline “Unmasking the Leftist Antifa movement: Activists seek peace through violence,” wherein CNN asks you to look for the good motive in these Antifa activists that drives them to do violence.
(So when we see some Soros-paid, Starbucks chugging reject blocking traffic, or vandalizing buildings, we need to remember that they are seeking peace… yeah).
CNN later changed the title to “Unmasking the Leftist Antifa movement” due to protesters in Charlottesville who claimed that they were not responsible for the violence that occurred there. While Charlottesville is a topic that we can discuss on multiple blogs, I will take a closer examination of the story at hand.
The highlight of CNN’s fluffing of Antifa was this:
Antifa activists often don’t hesitate to destroy property, which many see as the incarnation of unfair wealth distribution.
“Violence against windows — there’s no such thing as violence against windows,” a masked Antifa member in Union Square told CNN. “Windows don’t have — they’re not persons. And even when they are persons, the people we fight back against, they are evil. They are the living embodiment, they are the second coming of Hitler.”
Well Unknown Soldier of Antifa, there isn’t ‘violence against windows’ but there are laws against destruction of property. Even if your precious feelings have been triggered. And, how can we trust you with a determination of who is evil in the world?
We can all agree that anyone who subscribes to Nazi ideology is evil. But what about people who are just sick of how White men (or men in general) are being minimized in today’s society? Would you dare to lump us in with Nazis? Didn’t you lump in Trump with Nazis? And does that mean that you, mentally unstable and likely unshowered Antifa soldier would dare to take violence against someone who is simply expressing his or her opinion just because it opposes yours?
CNN’s piece probably won’t change too many minds. Still too many of us out here want to see Antifa get theirs
. As for CNN? Well….
